How much does a surf lesson in Tamarindo cost?

At Surf Every Day Academy prices are per person: group lesson ₡30,000, semi-private lesson ₡36,000 and private lesson ₡41,000. You pay at the lesson, in colones or US dollars.

How long is a surf lesson?

Lessons last 2 to 2.5 hours. The first part is a short theory session on a TV screen at Club 33 Surf Shop, then we practice on land and go into the water.

Do I need any experience?

No. Most of our students are complete beginners. We adapt every lesson to your level, and we also teach intermediate surfers who want to improve their technique.

How many students are there per instructor?

A maximum of 3 students per instructor. When the group is bigger, we add more instructors so everyone gets real attention in the water.

What is included?

• Surfboard, rash guard and leash

• Sunscreen

• Coffee and filtered water

• Lockers for your things

Where do we meet?

At Club 33 Surf Shop in Tamarindo, on Calle Cruz, 20 meters west of El Chiringuito.

What time are the lessons?

Lesson times depend on the tide and the ocean conditions. You book a time online and we confirm the best start time with you by WhatsApp the day before.

Can I cancel or change my lesson?

Yes. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before your lesson. To change the day or time, just message us on WhatsApp. If the ocean is not safe, we contact you to find a new time.

Who will teach me?

Lessons are taught by Leandro, founder of the academy, ISA surf judge and ISA-certified instructor, with the support of our instructor team when groups are bigger. We have a 5.0 rating on Google with more than 600 reviews.

Do you offer packages of several lessons?

Yes. Our program goes step by step, and each lesson covers new content. Write to us on WhatsApp and we will put together a package that fits your days in Tamarindo and your goals.
